COMPSTAT: How Low Can You Go?

Unknown-2A Good Idea Gone Bad

In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia” — George Orwell.

COMPSTAT — COMPuter STATistics: a management philosophy and organizational management tool for police.

“Exposing police misconduct can be risky, even for a cop. ‘Crime By The Numbers,’ a short documentary directed by Don Argott for FiveThirtyEight and ESPN Films’ Signals series, tells the story of Adrian Schoolcraft. Schoolcraft, as a New York Police Department officer, blew the whistle on the NYPD’s abuse and misuse of CompStat, a system to track crime trends in New York City.

But in trying to fix the injustices of New York’s policing system, Schoolcraft experienced that injustice personally.

  1. Could not have said it better myself; “In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia” — George Orwell.

How serious can anyone take the justice systems from the top down when the Mafia and the upper class criminals are exempt from those laws.

There was a time when Gambling was illegal and so were many other VICES in our country but since the Mob has moved into out political circles it seems that what destroyed people and families no longer matters to out political leaders but how much money will this make.

  2. If you are talking about upper class criminals, you need to include wealthy people and corporations since they have been destroying the various countries’ economics for the last 35 years and back in 1929.
